The Black Studies Department serves as a microcosm for our larger society. Each member plays an important role in shaping the intellectual landscape within this academic community.
Faculty members share their knowledge and passion for examining social, educational, legal, and economic structures, as well as their fundamental understanding of concepts like space, place, belonging, and community. Faculty are currently engaged in research projects examining the critical issues that have defined and continue to reshape the field of Black Studies. Staff play an important role in providing critical administrative services and support for the department’s ever-expanding community.
